Raised in Buffalo, New York, Rob Howze, known as G.O.L.D. (God’s Other Living Disciple), has emerged as a luminary in his unique genre of music. Similar to many young men alike, the minister became infatuated with and consumed by the streets at a young age. As a consequence, the path he walked led him away from his family, life, and—most importantly—away from God. G.O.L.D. was always singing, writing music, and performing; however, in 2003, after continuous life disappointments, G.O.L.D. left his most promising passion—music. Following his departure from the music industry, G.O.L.D. married his wife, Nicole Howze, had two children, and allowed God entrance to his heart. In finding the Lord, G.O.L.D. discovered a new passion for music; a new appreciation for the power of ministry through song; and a higher calling for his work in the music industry. Through his music’s powerful lyrics, G.O.L.D. encourages and empowers others to embrace God’s unconditional love. Every person who willingly accepts change can find purpose in the music of the revolutionary artist. Despite societal barriers and differences, any person can connect with G.O.L.D.’s music. G.O.L.D.’s music bridges gaps and shatters barriers. His lyrics appeal and apply to every listener—despite unimportant dissimilarities that often leave society in disaccord. When G.O.L.D. hits the stage, he brings a unique abundance of enthusiasm and a transmittable energy. G.O.L.D. is also a motivational speaker and worship leader. He uses his God-given gifts to minister, reach, and inspire young people all over the world. He serves as the Youth Minister under the leadership of Pastor Shawn McBride of New Life Community Church located in Bowie, MD. He & his wife Nicole Howze are also founders and directors of a non profit youth empowering, sports, education & mentoring organization called WORLD WIDE COMMUNITY www.Hisworldwidecommunity.org. G.O.L.D.’s debut album “Choices” is a mix between Rhythm and Praise, Holy Hip Hop & Contemporary Christian. This isn’t G.O.L.D.’s first appearance on the music scene. He has been performing and recording since the Mid 90’s spending a lot of time performing in the Washington DC area at homecomings, festivals, and opening for national artists such as Goodie Mob, The Roots, Raheem Devaughn, and others.
